The new program, which will be offered at LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC-Creekside Center, is specifically designed for students who have completed an Associate of Arts in Teaching or another associate degree with directed electives. The two-year program will produce certified teachers in Early Childhood-Grade 3 and Early Childhood-Grade 6, addressing the critical need for qualified educators in these areas.

Rebecca Saiz, LSCS executive director of the Educator Preparation Program, emphasized the importance of having highly qualified teachers who are prepared to meet their students' unique learning needs. 'We want our local schools to be staffed by compassionate teachers who are equipped to make a positive impact in their classrooms,' she said.
